What is CatDoes?

CatDoes is an AI agent that builds mobile apps and websites. Think of it as an AI app builder you use by chatting instead of coding. You describe what you want in plain language, and the agent plans it, designs it, writes the code, tests it, and ships it to the App Store, Google Play, or the web. Every project comes with a backend, so there's nothing extra to set up.

How does CatDoes work?

You describe what you need and an autonomous AI agent takes it from there. It plans the work, writes the code, runs the tests, and fixes its own errors. It runs in the cloud on its own computer, so you can close the tab and come back when the work is done.

Do I need coding experience?

No. CatDoes is built for people with zero coding experience. Describe what you want, then keep chatting to change it. If you do code, CatDoes makes you faster: import a GitHub repo, open and edit any file in the file browser, or export the full codebase.

What can I build with CatDoes?

Pretty much any mobile app or website: online stores, social apps, productivity tools, habit trackers, internal dashboards, landing pages, SaaS products, and more. You get real, working apps with full UI, navigation, and backend logic. One project can even hold a mobile app and a website together, and the agent works across both.

Who is CatDoes for?

How is CatDoes different from Lovable, Bolt, or Replit?

Lovable, Bolt, and Replit are built mainly for web apps. CatDoes builds real native mobile apps and websites, and publishes to the App Store, Google Play, and the web without Xcode or Android Studio. Every plan includes a full backend with CatDoes Cloud, the agent keeps working in the cloud after you close your browser, and it can simulate App Store review before you submit. Can I use CatDoes for commercial projects?

Yes. You keep ownership of your project content, including the code the agent writes for you. One thing to know: projects on the Free plan are public, so other users can see and remix them. Paid plans let you create private projects.

Building

Are CatDoes apps real native apps or web wrappers?

Real native apps. Mobile apps are built with React Native and Expo, so they run natively on iOS and Android with full platform capabilities. They're not a website wrapped in a native shell.

What tech stack does CatDoes use?

React Native with Expo for mobile apps, and Vite or Next.js for websites. The backend runs on Postgres. It's all standard code with no proprietary formats.

Does the agent keep working after I close my browser?

Yes. The Compose Agent runs in the cloud on its own machine. Give it a task, close your laptop, and come back to the result. It installs packages, runs scripts, tests builds, fixes its own errors, and can spin up subagents to work on different parts of your request in parallel.

Can I turn my existing website into a mobile app?

Yes. Paste any URL, like a Lovable, WordPress, or Shopify site, and the agent uses it as a reference to build a mobile app version. On the Core plan and above, you can also import your website's code from GitHub and ask the agent to turn it into a mobile app.

Can I use screenshots or designs as a reference?

Yes. Attach up to 4 images per message, such as screenshots, mockups, or designs exported from Figma, and the agent uses them as a reference for what to build or change.

What languages can I write prompts in?

Any major language. You can describe your app in English, Spanish, German, Japanese, or most other languages, and the agent can build your app's interface in whatever language your users speak.

Can I control how hard the agent works?

Yes, with the Agent Effort slider. Low effort is quick and light on credits. Maximum effort uses the most capable models for tricky tasks. Higher effort does more thinking and uses more credits, and if you're running low, CatDoes automatically steps down so a run never gets stuck.

Backend & integrations

Does CatDoes include a backend?

Yes. Every project comes with CatDoes Cloud: a Postgres database, authentication, file storage, edge functions, and real-time events, with US and EU regions. It works out of the box on every plan, including Free. No Supabase or Firebase setup and no third-party billing.

Can I add sign-up and login to my app?

Yes. Authentication is built into CatDoes Cloud, so just ask the agent to add sign-up and login and it wires it up for you. The number of users your app can have depends on your plan.

Can my app connect to other APIs and services?

Yes. Tell the agent which service you want to use, whether it's a payment provider, an AI model, or your own API, and it writes the integration. When it needs an API key or password, you enter it through a secure field that encrypts what you type, so the AI never sees the actual value. You can manage and export your environment variables any time.

Publishing & domains

Can I publish to the App Store and Google Play?

Yes, on the Starter plan and above. CatDoes handles the build and submission for iOS and Android, so you don't need Xcode or Android Studio. The Free and Core plans deploy to the web.

Do I need an Apple or Google developer account?

Yes. Apple and Google require apps to be published from a developer account, so you'll need an Apple Developer Program membership for the App Store and a Google Play Console account for Google Play.

Can I test my app on my phone before publishing?

Yes. Scan the QR code to preview the app on your own phone while you build. You can also switch the preview between device sizes like iPhone 15, iPhone SE, Pixel 8, iPad, and laptop.

Can CatDoes check if my app will pass App Store review?

Yes. The agent simulates Apple App Store and Google Play review on your project. It tells you whether your app would likely be approved and what to fix before you submit.

Can I use my own domain?

Yes. Connect your own domain to your web deployment. With multi-domain support you can add up to 20 domains per project depending on your plan, for example your main app on example.com and an admin dashboard on admin.example.com. Custom domains aren't available on the Free plan.

Can I remove the "Made with CatDoes" badge?

Yes, on the Starter plan and above. Web deployments on the Free and Core plans show a small "Made with CatDoes" badge.

Code & GitHub

Can I import an existing project from GitHub?

Yes, on the Core plan and above. Import any GitHub repo as a project and keep building with the agent. Your environment variables come across automatically.

Can I export my code?

Yes, on the Plus plan and above. You can export the full codebase at any time, and two-way GitHub sync lets you push changes and open pull requests right from CatDoes. The code is yours.

Can I edit the code myself?

Yes. On the Core plan and above, the file browser lets you open any file in your project and edit it right in the dashboard.

Can I move my project over from Lovable or another builder?

Yes. If your project's code is on GitHub, import the repo and keep building. You can also paste your app's URL and the agent will use it as a reference to rebuild it in CatDoes.

Plans & credits

Is there a free plan?

Yes. The Free plan includes 1 public project, 25 one-time credits, web deployment, and a full CatDoes Cloud backend. No credit card required.

How much does CatDoes cost?

Paid plans start at $20/month with Core. Each tier up adds more credits and projects, plus features like App Store and Google Play publishing, GitHub sync, and code export. Paying yearly saves 16%. See the pricing page for the full breakdown.

What's a credit?

Credits are what the AI agent uses to build your app and respond to your requests and questions.

How many credits does a request use?

It depends on how much context the agent works with, like your conversation history, and how much code it writes. A small tweak can use less than 1 credit, while a big feature uses more. Higher Agent Effort settings also use more credits.

What happens if I run out of credits?

You can upgrade to a higher plan for more monthly credits, or buy a one-time credit bundle on top of your subscription.

Can I get a refund?

You can request a refund within 14 days of payment, as long as you haven't exported code or app builds and have used no more than 10% of that month's credits. The full policy is in our Terms of Service.

Do you offer plans for larger teams and companies?

Yes. Our Enterprise plan includes private deployment options, unlimited app projects, a dedicated support team, and custom SLAs. Book a demo and we'll put together a plan that fits.

Support

What's version history?

When a chat gets long, click "Compact and save". CatDoes saves the chat as a version with a short changelog of what the agent built, then starts a new chat that picks up where you left off. Open History to see all your versions. Click "Revert to this point" on a version to reopen its conversation and undo all code changes made after it. Any newer versions are removed from History.

How do I undo changes the agent made?

Use Rewind. Hover over one of your messages and click "Rewind to here". Your project's code goes back to how it was before that message, and every message after it is removed. Your message goes back into the chat box, so you can edit it and send it again. You can't undo a rewind. Changes to your Cloud backend, like database tables and stored data, aren't reverted.

Something broke in my app. How do I fix it?

Tell the agent what went wrong and it will track down the error and fix it. If it keeps getting stuck, describe the problem in more detail, turn up the Agent Effort, or undo recent changes with a checkpoint.

What is CatDoes Watch?

CatDoes Watch is built-in error monitoring and crash reporting for your app, with AI-powered fix suggestions. It captures errors as they happen so you and the agent can see what went wrong and fix it. Higher plans get higher event limits and longer data retention.
